The pHT08 vector contains the coding sequence for an 8xHis tag and allows high-level intracellular production of recombinant His tagged protein with B. subtilis. The tag can be used for detection or purification of the produced protein of interest. The expression is based on the strong σA-dependent promoter preceding the groE operon of B. subtilis which has been converted into an efficiently controllable (IPTG-inducible) promoter by addition of the lac operator. pHT08 is an E. coli/ B. subtilis shuttle vector, that provides ampicillin resistance to E.coli and chloramphenicol resistance to B. subtilis.

Features

  • High level production of recombinant proteins
  • Efficiently controllable gene expression (IPTG inducible)
  • N-terminal 8xHis tag
  • E. coli / B. subtilis shuttle vector

pHT08 is a variant of pHT01, both vectors are available from MoBiTec GmbH (Göttingen)
